EFLEX 7.9 SERIES

CCM has finally stepped up and created a custom color option for their second price point goal pad and glove line, with the introduction of the Eflex 7.9 intermediate and senior series.
Bauer has had this option available for 5 years already with their popular Vapor series, so it was important for CCM to make a viable competitive model for the goalie marketplace. Choosing the higher volume seller, Eflex series was the logical choice.
With up to 17 color and material options, CCM didn't leave any colors behind. Most goalies should be able to design the pad and glove set of their dreams with this large color selection available.
On the senior pads, custom sizing is possible with the available selection of a +1 or +2 thigh rise, while on the intermediate model only the standard 30+1, 31+1 and 32+1 sizing is available. Both pads feature the new Cross Glide Technology sliding surface on the inside/balance stabilizer of the pads for faster lateral movements on clean or rough ice. Other festures like Dynamic Response one piece knee landing, DuaLITECore construction and the quick motion strap system are passed down from the Eflex 7 pro line.
The only catcher available is the new and vastly improved 580 series catcher....not a 581...but a better version of the venerable 580 glove. This catcher is easily the best catcher CCM has made in years. It closes easily, has an effortless wide opening catch surface that is inviting for pucks to enter. A single T skate lace pocket with an extra 1" of added pocket depth, the new FlexMotion back hand allows for easier/better closure and the CrossForm wrist strap allows for easy, freedom of wrist movement.
Overall quality of build is excellent, better than we have seen from CCM in past years. Sewing and seams are well done and the quality of the materials and velcro are top notch.
This new CCM series should be a viable option the younger player who isn't yet ready to step into the Pro series range of equipment. For the senior league player that needs a reliable set of equipment to get out on the ice once or twice weekly and expect performance and durability, this line is an excellent option.
