Brian's ICONiK 2 Series

The new Brian's Iconik2 pads and gloves are a welcome arrival! We always look forward to the launch of new products and this new update is no different. We were big fans of the previous model and we are happy to see that the new model improves upon what was already an excellent line up. AND we are big fans of CANADIAN MADE!

OPTiK 2 GOAL PAD FEATURES

The goal pad features a single strap on the calf area (a dual knee/calf velcro strap is available as a custom option) and separate velcro knee strap is now standard. This allows the flexibility of going the 'trad' route with the behind the knee strap placement or diagonally placed position on the outer calf wrap. 

Three new stiffness profiles hi-light the new ICONiK 2 line: Our custom ICONiK 2 goal pads feature the regular flex profile (the lightest pad Brian's has ever produced), with a ProSkateGoal custom feature: we have added a gently pre-curved thigh shape to the top 1/3 of the pad to aid with five hole closure while still retaining the rigidity that is necessary to offer complete ice seal while down in your butterfly. With mobility, agility and quickness again being at the core of every movement we make, the hybrid goalie will appreciate the forgiveness and thigh contouring fit of this pad. The X-Flex has a mix of hyperflex/stiff feel and the stiff pad features an aggressive, no compromise stiff build. Both of these feature and aggressive bend at the knee and a straight upper half pad profile. 

Brian's continues to exceed our expectations with the build quality of this gear. The innovative BRI-CORE thigh rise is built from a Triaxle Carbon-Fibre Composite that adds rigidity while keeping the pads lightweight and providing awesome ice seal and coverage. The HyperFlex boot allows for deep, explosive power pushes and no resistance to allow you to get tight to the post in your RVH. 

The Primo sliding surface is again available to maximize your lateral slide speed and offers increased durability over the jenpro material. It is widely recognized by most, that this Brian's offering is the quickest, most efficient sliding material.

An upper calf strap (AKA Professor Strap) offers increased pad control, responsiveness and retains the snug fit that goalies are looking for in a modern pad. It is optional (standard on our custom pads) and can be removed or added at anytime. 

OPTiK 2 CATCHER FEATURES

The 35° glove break is back and better than ever. This is our favourite catcher from Brian's and it continues to be a beast in the puck snagging department. A snug fit is standard with an intermediate fit option on our custom gloves. Did you know that almost every pro wearing Brian's chooses an intermediate fit also? A deep, double T pocket offers an impressively big opening for catching pucks. The BRI-FUSE reinforced cuff adds durability and protection while stopping the ones that you don't get in the pocket. The dual MOS dials on the back of the hand have been upgraded over previous models and go back to the lift up/push down design that were durable and easy to use. The glove closes easily, even with our standard 1/8" Pro Palms (that feature our proven break-in service standard on all of our gloves) and presents a large, open pocket without extra effort for superior net coverage. The glove's laced-in break angle allows the catcher to close naturally/easily along that angle and offers a durable, consistent closure over the long haul. 

OPTiK 2 BLOCKER FEATURES

A bindingless, open cuff offers maximum mobility and ease of movement while making saves and allows for maximum leverage when you position your hand at the top of your goal stick to make hard, quick precise outlet passes to your teammates. The BRI-FUSE core adds rigidity (and reduces weight from the previous model) and pop to the blocker face to allow for efficient puck directing. The re-designed thumb opening allows for easier stick retention and efficient ease of motion.
